Dog Bowl

A while back my friend came over and brought her boys to play. Well, her one son (2 years old) decided it would be funny if he drank from the dog's bowl. I was totally grossed out and told him he could ask for a cup.

When the event happened I didn't even know Ryan was around. I don't know if the boy did it more then once but about two weeks later I caught Ryan doing the same thing. Then today I caught him again. Just look at his face. He knows that he is going to get in trouble.

It just proves my point that all boys are disgusting!

Sledding

The boys and I were keeping our fingers crossed for more snow, but this is all we got. We still went sledding though.

They boys had a hard time getting the sled started so I had to give them a good push to get started. The sled didn't go very fast but it is always fun at the bottom of the hill hearing the kids scream "again."

I wish Ken was home to take a picture of us. Most of the time I rode down with the boys. One time Ryan and I went down head first lying next to each other on the sled. When we got back up Chris asked if I could lay down and he could ride on my back. Since I could walk down the hill faster then the sled was moving I let him climb on top. Before we got moving though Ryan climbed and laid down on top of Chris. I can only picture in my mind what we looked like!

Once we were finished sledding we had a snowball fight. I made the boys snowballs so they could turn and hit me with them. Once we were finally ready to come in I told the boys to hop on the sled for one last ride. I ran around the yard pulling them. It wasn't very long before I turned, the boys fell out and Ryan started crying. I had to take a picture of him. We might not get snow again for a couple years!

Yogurt Pops

We made yogurt pops yesterday. They were so easy and the kids were excited about them. The best part was being able to push buttons on the blender! I was surprised the popsicles actually froze before the day was over because Chris kept opening the freezer to check on them.

Next time we make them though I will make sure not to fill the cups up so much. They were a little big for the kids.

Ready for the intense recipe! haha
1 cup of yogurt
1 cup of fruit (we used blueberries)
Blend until smooth
Pour into cups
Stick popsicle sticks in the middle
Freeze

Learning Shapes

I have been trying to teach Ryan some shapes and colors. I am not sure if he doesn't get it or just doesn't care. If you show him a shape and ask him what it is he will say "blue."

So our latest activity involved some shapes and play-doh. What kid can resist play-doh?

Chris, Ryan and I each took a different shape and then put our play-doh in the same shape. Ryan was trying and doing a good job.

The circle was easy after watching how to do it.

Of course when you are having some trouble a little bit of teamwork never hurts.

See You Next Season!

I took a picture of Ryan in his Eagles sweatshirt before the game. However, I decided not to post the picture since last time I posted pictures of the boys in their Eagles outfits before the game the Eagles lost. I guess it really didn't matter.

To think I already talked about how crazy Philadelphia would be if the Eagles won the Super Bowl the same year the Phillies won the World Series! Well, we still have the Flyers.

He Cracks Me Up!

Yesterday I found a temporary tattoo. All day Ryan was pulling up his sleeve to look at his tattoo and show it to us.

Ryan has decided he is going to take showers now, just like his big brother. Well, after I wash him I give him the wash cloth and he gets all the places that I missed. As he does this he calls out his body parts. So as I am waiting to get the wash cloth back I usually hear the body parts he is washing "baaacckk, neecck, leeeeggg." Well, yesterday I had to laugh when I heard him say "taaaatttttooo."

He was so proud of his tattoo.

Side note...notice my flip flop in the background of the last picture. Ken and I go on a scavenger hunt everyday for shoes. Not for the kids shoes but for ours! I think we have a ghost in our house that likes to take one shoe and move it every time we take them off.

Well Rested?

Last night was awful. Here is how the night went:

Bed time: 11:00pm (enough time to get 8 hours of sleep)

First wake up call: 1:30am (Chris coming to sleep in my room. He has been doing this a couple times a week since Ken left.)

Second wake up call: 2:30am (Chris throwing up ALL OVER the bathroom)

New bed time: 4:00am (That's how long it took me to clean up after him!)

Third wake up call: 6:00am (The alarm on Ryan's monitor went off telling me the batteries were dead)

Fourth wake up call: 6:15am (The darn cat sharpening her nails on our laundry basket. Are you kidding I just fell back asleep???)

Final wake up call: 7:15am (Ryan's up for the day.)

So as I am sitting here trying to keep my eyes open at 9:00 this morning Chris is still snoring away in my bed!

And I thought Chris feel asleep at the dinner table last night because I wore him out!

Chris's New School

Saturday Chris had an open house at his new school. We found out over the Christmas break that the school will be opening a week late due to licensing issues. So he is home until the 12th. I am not sure how I feel about the new school. Chris LOVES it though. Here is a picture of when you walk into the school.

The playground at Chris's school is different but the concept is exactly the same. The classrooms are in all the different murals along the outside.

Here is my problem with the school. The stairs are on the right hand side of the picture and Chris's classroom is upstairs on the left hand side of the picture. Now I have to walk Ryan right by the playground everyday for the next 5 months and not let him play on it?!?!?! I am not looking forward to Monday.

The nice part is that they also have an outdoor playground. The kids will only be allowed to play on the indoor one when the weather is nasty outdoors.

We got our registration paperwork for next year already. This will be the last year we will be attending The Little School as they raised their tuition again. One can attend kindergarten next year for the small sum of $5,200 a year plus a $75 registration fee and a $250 field trip fee!!!!!!

It is almost an easy decision for me....public school with a bus to pick up and drop off my child vs outrageous tuition and a 20 minute drive one way!

The preschool has also raised their prices so I can say that Ryan will not be attending in two years either.
