Back to the Beach

Welcome to Rehoboth Beach on April 26, 2009!

It is crazy that we were just there 22 days ago with our heavy coats and today it was in the 90's!

Most of the pictures I took are the same as the ones I have posted before. A lot of the boys running around playing and just having a good time. This time was a little different as we met one of Chris's friends down there.

I also have to share this funny photo.

One more thing....the water temperature was 57 degrees. It was so cold that it hurt your feet to just get them wet. Those crazy boys were in the water the majority of the day!

Busy Day

We had a busy day today. The day started out by having to be at the ball park for opening ceremonies at 8:30. I have to say the opening ceremonies were pretty impressive. They had the Air Force Honor Guard, both Senators and our House Representative. Of course we also had the beautiful singer who forgot the words to our National Anthem, got help from the crowd and then got giant hugs in the middle of the stadium from her brother and sister. It was perfect! Too bad the news wasn't there!!!!

(Chris's team walking in. He is the caboose.)

Here is Ryan and I listening to the opening ceremonies. He climbed the fence all by himself for the first time. The pictures don't do the ceremony justice, there were probably about 300 kids on the field and their parents watching from the crowd!

After the ceremonies were over we headed to the Bug and Bud Festival. All of us wanted to ride the paddle boats (you can see them in the background) but we did not have enough time.

We had to be back at the ball field for Chris's game at 1:00. The coach was out of town for this game so Ken and I volunteered to help. Therefore, we didn't get any pictures of the game. I actually didn't even see Chris hit the ball because I was getting the kids ready to bat.

Let me tell you, it was HOT! When we got into the car the car temperature read 98 degrees. When we got home the temperature read 93! So we let the boys go under the sprinklers.

(Ryan is blowing bubbles while under the sprinkler)

Boy, was it a fun and busy day. All this happened and we were ready to eat dinner by 4:00!

Semi-Silent Saturday

Kati posted a blog called Wordless Wednesday. I thought it was creative so I decided to use her idea and post a story with only pictures. Hope you enjoy and can figure out what happened!

Weekend in NJ

We spent last weekend in NJ with my parents for my birthday. Sunday my dad decided to take the boys on the train to the waterfront in Camden.

On the way home Chris asked the train conductor if he was the station master. The man chuckled a little and then asked Chris if he wanted to see the front of the train. He told Chris he could either push the button to ring the bell, the loud whistle or the soft whistle. Chris chose the bell and thought it was tons of fun. He is still talking about it a week later.

We only stayed in by the waterfront for a short time because I had to be home to go to the Flyers game!
