Ryan Swimming

Chris has been swimming without his vest more and more. He let Ryan try his vest. Ryan jumped into the pool to Tracey and then proceeded to swim to the ladder. We were amazed!

Today we brought the kids to a water park.

Chris enjoyed this slide. Ryan went down it once then climbed right back up. However he cried at the top of the slide the second time. He didn't try the slide again.

After we left the slide Chris went straight to the lily pads. He remained there for the rest of our stay.

Finally Tracey got a little video of Ryan attempting to swim. I was afraid to let him go!

Cement

My sister took Chris and Ryan to the park across the street from our house. Earlier the workers poured new concrete around the park bench and Tracey suggested that Chris write his initials in the cement. She was planing on small initials in the corner. Well, as she turned to take care of Ryan, Chris decided to take matters into his own hand and write his name.

I guess they figure they don't need cement watchers at a kids park!

Rainy Day

I planned on taking the boys to the pool today. Ken called and said we were supposed to have thunderstorms. Since we were stuck in the house and it started getting dark I figured I would put a piece of paper on the wall and trace the boys shadows. Unfortunately with half the house packed I could not find a flashlight. Instead I just had them stand against the paper and traced them as fast as I could so they wouldn't move too much.

I then had them decorate themselves. I colored their shirts. Chris made their faces. (I love Chris's eyes and the fact he put his dimple chin in!) Each decorated the rest of their bodies. Notice that they are both walking small dogs without leashes. Chris informed me that his dog didn't need a leash since it was a good dog and just followed him around. Also Chris was wearing a gray shirt with Lightening McQueen and Mator on it. So he has two car stickers on his shirt. I love it!

Then it started raining and Ryan decided it was more fun to watch the rain. Chris then decided he was done too.

WA-HOO, WA-HOO

Chris has been jumping up and down screaming Wa-hoo when he is excited. So I figured it was an appropriate title.

Ken and I closed on our house today! WA-HOO, WA-HOO!!! Now the next big step...moving!

Lunch Time

My boys go through stages. Sometimes they are really good at eating and sometimes they just don't eat. Well, it has become one of the times that they are really good at eating. For lunch today I served them chicken nuggets, strawberries and raspberries.

I made their lunch before I made mine. I figured that I would still have time to sit down and eat with them. I was wrong. They were both finished before I was done.

I was wrong again though because they were still hungry. I gave them some grapes and was able to sit at the table and eat with them.

I was joking around when I handed Chris this bowl of grapes.

This is when Chris told me he was finished. Also within two minutes he said "Mom, I am hungry can I have junk?"

This however is when Ryan decided he was finished eating.

If these boys continue to eat this way we might just have to take a small loan out every time we go to the grocery store!
