Playing in the Snow
While Ken finished shoveling the driveway the second time the boys decided to play in the snow.

I taped plastic bags over Chris's gloves so they wouldn't get cold and wet so quick. It worked because they stayed outside for about an hour!

Being the good mom that I am I stood in the garage the entire time taking pictures. Then just before Ken finished the driveway the boys asked if they could go sledding. Ken took a break from shoveling. I then went into the house and took pictures from our bathroom window.

If the kids want we are going to take them to a bigger hill to sled tomorrow since school is canceled again.

Snowed In
We are officially snowed in. Our county is currently in a State of Emergency! It started snowing last night around 11:00 and hasn't stopped yet!
The boys were excited this morning. Daddy went outside to start shoveling the driveway and the boys got ready to begin playing. Here is Ryan getting ready to go out! I wish the picture came out better, but you get the idea.

I had to take a picture of Ken shoveling the driveway.

He went outside to start shoveling at 11:30. The two neighbor men came out and the boys had their little shoveling party. They all helped shovel the three driveways. Ken didn't return to the house until 4:00!
About an hour and a half later Ken called me to the window. It had snowed so much that our driveway didn't even look like it was shoveled at all. He went back out and shoveled about a third of the driveway before giving up. Here is how much snow has fallen in about the last 5 hours.

This is my neighbors lawn. The deer's legs are completely covered!

Here is a picture of our sliding glass door.

Now back to the boys. Once they returned from playing outside Chris decided he needed a bath to warm up. Ryan was going too. Well, before they actually got in the bath they came downstairs asking if they could use my bathtub. This is how they decided to bathe!

Can you tell from this picture there is a snow storm and they will not be going swimming? I tell you...my boys really are crazy!

My Love Bugs
Three days ago Chris informed me that someone was living in our attic. I told him what the attic was like and that it did not have a floor. He gave up on his theory of someone living up there.
Two nights ago both boys came downstairs after I put them to bed claiming that someone was knocking on the wall. Since Ryan had moved to the guest bedroom I told them it was each other knocking on the wall. Chris wanted to argue so I just sent them back to bed. When I went to check on them I found them both in the guest bedroom.

Tonight I went up to check on them and I found them both in Chris's bed.

Crazy kids!

Little Hands
Last year for my birthday my mother-in-law bought me this roller coaster.
It is Ryan's absolutely favorite Christmas decoration. It may not look like a Christmas decoration but it is. It plays Christmas music.
Last year my boys little hands could not stop touching the carts on the roller coaster causing one of the carts to not work at all. I told the boys this year if I catch any little hands on the roller coaster it would be put on top of the TV where they can not reach it or see it. Unfortunately, that hasn't stopped Ryan's little hands from touching it.
This year Ken was able to somewhat fix the cart that was broken. Well, today Ryan asked to have the roller coaster turned on and none of the carts would work properly. I was upset but knew it was my fault for not moving the decoration the first time I saw Ryan's little hands on it.
Just a few minutes ago Ken came over and gave me two replacement carts for the roller coaster! He had gone to the store that sells it in our area and they told him the roller coaster was no longer being made and the roller coaster they had on display wasn't working so well so he could have the carts from the display....for free! Awesome!
I think I will just pack up the new carts for a few years until the little hands turn into medium size hands and won't break the new carts!
I am so excited that I now have a working roller coaster again!

That Great Picture
Chris asked my Mother-In-Law for feet pajamas like his brothers. Being the wonderful women she is, she sent him the pajamas right away. He loves them and we honestly have to peel them off his body because he wants to wear they every night, clean or dirty!
Anyhow, this morning I caught him walking though the kitchen in a state of wonder holding his bear, by the arm, at his side. It was SOOOOO cute. I wanted a picture. However, in my family the minute I get out my camera my kids turn into picture mode (meaning I am not going to let anyone take a decent picture of me.)
So this is the picture I got (mid you it was supposed to be a great enough picture for Norman Rockwell to paint.)

Lightening McQueen
Anita bought an activity kit for our boys. It was a make your own Lightening McQueen plate. She forgot to bring it to our house for the boys to do so she mailed it to us. However, keeping it until the next time she visits was not an option. My boys asked to make and paint the plate everyday for two weeks! Finally this week we made the plates with Anita's permission and unfortunately without her boys.

Unfortunately, the box was on the shelf too long or Anita had it in her possession long enogh that the paints dried up. The boys had limited paints to work with.

Regardless, the loved painting the plates. I honestly thought this was going to be an activity they begged to do and then wound up quitting before they finished. However that was not the case at all!

Christmas Came to Our House
Last weekend we told Chris we could put the Christmas decorations out. He was so excited that the moment he woke up on Saturday he asked to bring the boxes up. I have to say that I was impressed with Chris's enthusiasm. As I took all our everyday decorations down he took all the decorations out of the boxes.

Finally once most of the decorations were up it was time to decorate the tree. I figured this would be an activity I did by myself, even though I wanted the family to participate, especially after I found Ken hiding behind the tree!

However that was not the case at all. Both boys helped put up almost all the decorations on the tree.

However, before we finished it was time for bed. I wanted a picture of the family in front of the tree but the camera died after this picture was taken. It happens to be my favorite picture that was taken of the day!
