Going Crazy

I think I might be losing my mind.

I have come up with 3 solutions to my problems: 1) I am going crazy. 2)Someone is breaking into our house. 3) Ken is slowly moving things out of our house. Since I think #2 and #3 are ridiculous I think I must be going crazy.

A while ago I went to the book store and bought Sometimes A Great Notion, Crime and Punishment and Charlie Wilson's War. I put the books on my bookshelf because I was still reading a different book. Then I went and visited my parents house. My dad had the book The Appeal which I also wanted to read. I took the book and put it on the bookshelf also. Finally, I finished the book and headed downstairs to get a new one. I could not find The Appeal anywhere. So I decided on Sometimes a Great Notion.
It was gone too. The books have just simply disappeared.

Next situation. I used to have a drawer full of dishtowels. So many that I had to push them down the close the drawer. I now have two! No clue what happened to the rest of the dishtowels!

Final situation. The bowls in my house have started to disappear. We started off with 8 bowls and are now down to 3! I know for sure that I broke one and am pretty sure another one was broke. But that should still leave 6 bowls. What happened to the other 3?

Ken has even been asking me "What happened to all our bowls?" and "What happened to all our dishtowels?"

So I posted a picture of myself today just in case you see a disheveled different looking person in the near future you know that I was the first to know that I am starting to go crazy!

Must Haves

I am a firm believer that there are certain toys that boys must have when growing up. Here are 4 of the toys that are on my must have list. (All the toys were played with today.)

On top of my list without hesitation is Tinker Toys!

Chris got a bucket of tinker toys for his 4th birthday and hasn't stopped playing with them. Tinker Toys can become anything and everything in our house. I wonder if anyone can guess what Chris built in the picture!?!?!?! Ryan also enjoys tinker toys. Usually he just puts rings on one of the sticks and runs around the house with it though.

Wood blocks are also on my list. The wood blocks are always brought out whenever something can not be made with Tinker Toys. I would have to say of the items played with today the wood blocks are number 4 on my list.

The second item on my list is Legos.

The Legos come and go in our house. I won't see them for a month or two and then Chris will start playing with them again. Overall, Legos have had their fair share of time in our house. I think Ryan has even logged in a few hours of playing with Legos. I think if I bought the regular legos for Chris he would spend more time playing with them now. The Duplo that we have fall apart so easy.

The third item on my list is a box. Chris played with the box during Ryan's nap but I didn't think to take a picture. So here is Ryan!

So there you have it, four items on my must have list.

Puzzles

Chris never liked puzzles until recently. A few weeks ago he started working on different puzzles at school. He came home asking for his puzzles, which I never even bothered to unpack! When I got them he took the hardest one, which was a map of the United States, and started working on it. Of course he needed some help. After a few times putting it together we started having conversations about where different states were everyday. Sweet...he is learning and doesn't even know it!

Quickly his puzzle became warped and we wanted to get another one. Yesterday we finally found one.

Chris put the puzzle together by himself today!

This puzzle is confusing Chris for some reason. He is having a hard time pointing to states that were easy for him to remember on the smaller puzzle. Maybe he is just not used to the size.

Too Cool!

Ryan definitely has his own style.

Ryan has been walking around with the sunglasses for the last few days. Weird since we bought them over the summer. He decided he even needed to sleep with them on last night!

He also wore the goggles for two days! I think they would still be around his neck but I put them on his chair when I refused to let him wear them to bed. Last time I saw them on his bedroom floor, amongst a pile of books, so I think he forgot about them. Out of site, out of mind.

Look Who Got the Camera!

It is always a surprise when you find pictures on the camera that you didn't take!

Window Treatments

My mom made us curtains for the family room and kitchen.

I really like the curtains. However, I can't wait to paint the room because they don't look great against the white walls.

Slowly, the family room is getting done. All we need now is an area rug, some paint and artwork. We are waiting to paint and put up pictures until they come and fix the drywall in July. So we are stuck with white walls for a few more months.

Happy Birthday Mom!

We hope you have a wonderful day!

Wrong Setting

Once again what would have been a great picture was taken on the wrong setting. It seems to be a reoccurring theme in our house!

I believe this picture was taken during the Superbowl. I only watched a few minutes of the game since I didn't like either team and could have cared less about watching commercials.

Ryan is going through the stage where he is learning how to smile. It seems to be rare that we get a good picture of him smiling. So even though it is out of focus I still like it.
