Minor Surgery

The splinter was so tiny Ken needed a magnifying glass! It sure did hurt though. With Christopher's help (and Christopher screaming "Don't hurt mommy") they were able to remove the splinter.

The Park

The park behind our house if finally close to being complete.

Chris has been playing at the park almost everyday this week. I had to take my camera today since the weather was beautiful. The pictures I was taking came out a lot better in my mind!

Chris has his first day of school today (again).

He woke up this morning telling me he was not going. He really wanted his dad to bring him to school and show him how to use a toy. They have some toy that needs to be assembled and looks pretty complex. I could not figure it out yesterday nor could the assistant teacher!

Well, we arrived at school, Chris jumped out of the van and practically pulled my arm off trying to get to the school faster!

Then (the same kid who woke up telling me he wasn't going to school) asked me during lunch if he could pack a lunch tomorrow and stay at school. He also informed me that he already asked the teacher! I guess I am going to have to break his heart each morning!

Picasso

Chris was using colored pencils today to color a picture and write a letter to his friend. Ryan started crying, I picked him up and handed him a pencil. I figured he would put it in his mouth and gnaw away. I showed him he could make a line and Ryan was interested. I am so proud of his first picture.

Silent Movies

I am currently using my old camera for pictures and videos. I got it a little over 4 years ago and unfortunately it does not record sound.

Tinker Toys

MomMom now is not the only one who knows the secrete of building a ferris wheel out of tinker toys! Chris actually built most of the ferris wheel with me giving him instructions. He spends hours playing with his tinker toys. These were the greatest gift ever for Chris.

Yesterday Ryan and I were waiting for Chris to come downstairs for lunch. Well, Ryan was playing with the microphone in the kitchen so I decided to jump on the computer. When I went back into the kitchen this is how I found Ryan.

More Please!

Ryan has learned how to sign more. Now it is not the typical sign. We are still working on that part but he claps his hands when he wants more food.
I also have some other random pictures to share. Ryan showing me that he is not going to preform anymore for the camera.

I figured I better take my camera to the pool before the season ends.

Ryan trying to swim in the pool. He actually makes a crawling motion. Once he gives up his morning nap I think we are going to look into YMCA swim lessons for him. I don't want him to be scared of the pool next season.

Chris and I waiting to get on one of the best slides in the world. It is so much fun and when Dad comes to the pool with us, Chris and I spend most of the time going down the slide while Dad swims with Ryan.

Here we come. We always lay down on the slide to go faster but right before we shoot out we have to sit up. Chris is not fond of being shot under the water. Maybe next year. The cool thing about this slide is that Chris can either go down with me or by himself. They don't care if he knows how to swim or not.

Chris received a tent from Grandma for his birthday. It is a huge hit in our house. Before the tent is actually put together the boys and the dog are inside it. Chris has tried sleeping in his tent but quickly found out the bed is more comfortable!

My favorite of the boys playing in the tent. I guess after about 20 pictures of trying to get the boys to both look at the camera Ryan decided it was time to take measures into his own hands so he could get back to playing.
