Today started out as any other day. Kids were happy and loving life. Well, Ken is working 6:30pm to 6:30am for a few days. So I had to take Ryan to the YMCA with us today. It wasn't a big deal and Ryan did great. He fell asleep in the middle of swim lessons (about 10:45) and slept until 1:45. When he woke up I feed him and decided that the boys needed some time outside since it was a beautiful day. Off to the park we went. This is where the day turned around.
Ryan started getting fussy at the park and fell asleep in his stroller. Chris and I decided that we would go over to the lake. Ryan slept in his stroller as Chris and I hunted for rocks and sticks to throw into the water. It was great. When it was time to leave Chris would peddle his bike about 5 feet and then stop. It got frustrating so I gave him points on the road to peddle to without stopping. He soon lost it and was hysterical peddling his bike. I had no clue why and he would not talk to me. Finally we got home and he quickly calmed down. He told me the reason he was crying was because he wanted to stop at another park on the way home.
This is when Ryan loses it. He would not stop crying and I had no idea why. I fixed him a bottle and he stopped crying to eat. I was able to make part of our dinner before Ryan started crying again. This time nothing was calming him down. Finally at 6:00 I decided I was giving him a bath and putting him to bed. He calmed down in his bath so I figured he would be fine until bed time. Wrong again. He ate another bottle and feel asleep. 15 minutes later he was screaming again. Chris and I finally ate our dinner at 7:45! Between 6:30 and 9:00 Ryan was sleeping for brief time periods and then hysterically crying. I gave him another bottle at 9:00. The poor kid was either sleeping, eating or crying. I seem to remember this same situation with Chris, only Chris was 2 months old and the doctors said he had acid reflux. I am hoping that Ryan just had a really busy day and was overtired or overstimulated.
