Here he is today!

We had no idea our dog was so small! It was funny because I asked Ken if it was really our dog when he brought him home. Chris then asked why we got a new dog.
We had a flu disaster in our house. (Ken got a flu shot so he was spared. I was not as smart and with Ryan's carrot looking skin I never returned for his second dose. So Ryan and I both got sick.) Chris came down with the flu Monday the 4th. Every time it seemed that he was getting better he would then get worse again. Last Friday he wound up with an ear infection. Then this Wednesday he woke up from a nap and could barely walk. At bed time when his condition did not improve we decided he needed to head to the ER.
Of course the ER did not know what was wrong with Chris. They took an X-ray and sent him home. Thursday Chris was not any better so Ken took him to a children's hospital in Wilmington. They figured out he did in fact have the flu and he had a side affect called myostitis, which was causing the pain behind his knees. They said he should be able to walk normal again in a few days.
To top it all off though he woke up this morning with a rash on his face and it proceeded to spread to his entire body. The doctor determined that he was allergic to the antiboitic he was taking for his ear infections.
The one nice event that occurred is the first ER doctor that could not figure out what was wrong called us twice today stating he had an idea what was going on. It is nice to know that after he sent Chris home he did not stop thinking about him. It is always wonderful to be reminded that there are people who still care in this world!

Glad to hear that Christopher is doing better. It was worrisome when you said that about his knees - that can be scary with the lymph nodes and nerves and such...
Geez, those pictures of Chase are a hoot!
I can't believe Chris got so sick. Are his legs better yet? Is the baby OK? Its so hard to take care of sick kids when you get it too. I hope you all feel better soon.
We took our dog to a new groomer once and she came home shaved. It took about 6 months before she looked like an Aussie again. At least Chase won't shed much!!
